Are you curious about the worlds of preserving and fermenting? Want to broaden your knowledge and skills for extending the summer season? This workshop will be a basic introduction on how to do that with canning and fermenting. All experience levels are welcome.

Kristin Chow, often referred to as Calgary’s Canning Queen, will be taking the group through the steps of jam making and sending everyone home with a jar to taste.

Denis Manzer of The Light Cellar will share some of his extensive fermenting knowledge in a sauerkraut making demo.
