Chelsie's Garden Soil-utions

Chelsie Anderson is the owner/operator of Chelsie's Garden Soil-utions. She is a regular contributor on CTV's morning show and is the co-author of the Three Year Gardener's Gratitude Journal. In the colder months Chelsie instals winter planters, builds wreaths by hand tying them and offers up several workshops on how to make your own winter decorations.

All of Chelsie's Winter Greens are sourced locally and are almost entirely scavenged from arborists in town who are trimming and/or removing trees for homeowners. This year the mountain ash berried were found in the SW neighbourhood of Wildwood as "NB Tree Services" trimmed a tree for a home owner there in mid-November, all of the spruce used in these products were sourced from Bankview as 13 trees were being removed for a future condo development (November 15th), and the cedar was removed from a NW neighbourhood by request of a garden client. Because of this, Chelsie's products are of the freshest and most locally sourced in town. Expect your planters to stay green well into March (if kept outside and watered once/month), wreaths will not stay green as long, but can be expected to last significantly longer than most “fresh wreaths” on the market.

Every product is hand crafted by Chelsie herself, with love, respect and appreciation for the nature being used. All materials used in these products are also collected by Chelsie with the help of several arborists in town who generously call when they are headed to a site and/or let her pick through their piles after branches come down. The natural aromatherapy keeps her happy and alive during the darkest months, and will surely give you a seasonal boost too!
